Description:
The Defense & Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Desktop Systems Administrator in Kuwait. 

JOB SUMMARY: 
The Desktop System Administrator (SysAd) will be a key part of the IT team supporting the Combined-Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) and US Army Central (ARCENT) Forward, with primary duty at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Position is the CJ2/G2 Service Desk Lead. Successful candidate will have a demonstrated capability of providing Tier I and Tier II support to customers with standard office automation, hardware, software, and application problems without supervision. Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of Active Directory Users & Computers, security groups and NTFS permissions, network/LAN principles, Windows7 or 10, MS Office, desktop & laptop hardware, using MS SharePoint, etc. Successful candidate must have strong troubleshooting skills and a capacity to handle/process/oversee 30+ tickets per day. Experience with Remedy a plus. Experience on military Intelligence networks in South West Asia a big plus. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
•Administer and maintain Windows desktops & laptops, assorted printers & digital senders, video teleconferences, VOIPs, and other standard office equipment. 
•Manage users, computers, and security groups in Active Directory as well as share folder NTFS permissions. 
•Diagnose and resolve software issues with MS Outlook, MS Office, Adobe, and Java. 
•Apply security patches, IAVAs, STIGS, and updates on Windows desktop systems and servers. 
•Assist systems admins with O&M tasks on servers, virtual environments and storage devices. 
•Assist network administrators with basic LAN testing & troubleshooting. 
•Track all service desk work in Remedy, ensure accuracy of all tickets, and escalate issues as needed. 
•In & Out process users; this includes account requests, setting up workstations, mapping drives and printers, etc. 
•Complete basic hardware and infrastructure work as directed, such as running cable and cable management, and basic power requirements for systems or replacing hardware components. 
•Support and troubleshoot additional Intelligence tools, such as SILO, mIRC, PRISM, MIST. 
•Teach, coach, mentor all service desk personnel on all assigned technical tasks; develop and maintain SOP’s to ensure consistent, efficient service desk operations across several sites and multiple networks. 
•Participate in or lead special projects and day-to-day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead, including surging to alternate locations for customer requirements or to backfill personnel during R&R or other absences.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 
•Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related experience. 4+ years of additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree. 
•Currently possess IAT Level II Baseline Certification: Security+ce or higher. 
•Currently possess Computing Environment Certification such as CompTIA Server+ or other relevant certification. 
•Currently possess or within 90 days of arrival on site obtain either MS Configuring Windows Devices (exam 70-697), MS Installing and Configuring Windows 10. MCSA: Server 2012, or higher certification or equivalent SkillPort training. 
•Currently possess an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance. 

Additional Requirements: 
•Must be willing to live & work in the State of Kuwait or forward deploy to austere locations and/or combat zones (Iraq/Syria) as directed, and follow all corporate and local site policies. 
•Must follow and adhere to all information security regulations and policies on all respective networks, along with local base and host nation laws. 
•Work is 12-hours per day, 7 days a week, and is subject to Kuwaiti Labor Law. 
•Position is on-call 24x7, including weekends and holidays, and may also include night-shift. 
•Position requires processing CRC and passing medical screening and be designated “fit for deployment” including medical testing, immunizations, and BMI analysis. 
•Position requires additional medical testing to obtain Kuwaiti Work Visa. 
•At least 36 months validity and 5 blank pages left on a U.S. passport. 
•Unaccompanied positions includes on-post, shared housing and shared vehicle support provided by contract; however, operational requirements may dictate assignment and further deployment to austere locations as needed.
